SUBMISSION

Session Guidelines

Sessions will include four types of formats: (a) Research presentation, (b) Poster presentation, (c) Panel session (symposium), and (d) Workshop.

  • 1.Research presentation

A theoretically-grounded or empirically-informed presentation by an individual or multiple presenter/s that relates to the conference theme. Each presentation will last 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes Q&A.

A chair will be in charge of serving as a timekeeper. Presentations can be given in Japanese, Spanish, or English. Spanish-English and Japanese-English interpreters will be available for some presentations.

  • 2.Poster presentation

A poster or kiosk display about the conference theme or new philosophical inquiry practices. The exhibition will remain in place throughout the conference.

Proposals must be written in Japanese, Spanish or English. We are not planning to have the online-based poster session. No interpreter service will be available.

  • 3.Panel session (Symposium)

The panel session is organised by multiple presenters (3-5 people) who discuss a common topic about theory, research and practice of P4wC. It is desirable that the proposed symposium includes at least 20 minutes Q & A session. For example, each presenter will share their thoughts for 15 minutes (60 minutes in total), followed by 30 minutes open discussion and Q&A – which will last 90 minutes in total.

The symposium should be delivered in Japanese, English, or Spanish, and the application form should be filled out in one of these languages. Interpreters will not be available for this symposium. If you need an interpreter, please find one by yourself.

  • 4.Workshop

Workshop is different from symposium in that workshop focuses on a learning-by doing type of activity that enable participants to get practical experiences/insights about the novel idea of P4wC. All workshops will last 60 minutes. A workshop will be delivered in English, Japanese or Spanish, and proposals should be written in one of these languages. In all workshops, no free interpreter service is available. Participants should be responsible for arranging interpreters by themselves (if necessary).
